Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

The short version. Your conversations, food photos, and Apple Health data stay yours. AI provider: Anthropic — Anthropic currently provides the Claude models used for AI coaching. Signed-in users send requests through readytrainerone.com before Anthropic; Bring-Your-Own-Key users send requests from their device directly to Anthropic. Your data is not used for advertising, not sold, and not used to train models. You can withdraw consent for AI coaching at any time in Settings → Privacy & Safety. If Ready Trainer One changes AI providers or materially changes what data is shared, the app will ask for consent again.

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes how Ready Trainer One ("RTO," "we," "us") handles information when you use the Ready Trainer One iPhone app and the website at readytrainerone.com. It is meant to be readable, not a legal smokescreen. If anything below is unclear, email us — see the contact section at the bottom — and we'll explain it in plain language.

2. What the app collects

With your permission, RTO reads or accepts the following from your device:

You control what RTO is allowed to read. You can change or revoke Health permissions any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Ready Trainer One, and Calendar permissions in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

3. AI coaching and your data

For the public source registry behind RTO's health information — including the AI data handling references — see Medical Sources & Limits. Every entry there carries a status label (Core source, Clinical reference, Candidate under review).

AI provider: Anthropic. Several features in RTO — Chat, Daily Brief, Today Hero, and food parsing — are powered by a large language model. Anthropic currently provides the Claude models used for these features. Signed-in users send requests through readytrainerone.com before Anthropic; Bring-Your-Own-Key users send requests from their device directly to Anthropic.

The first time you use one of these features, RTO asks for explicit consent before sending any personal data. Until you consent, those features are blocked and the rest of the app works without contacting Anthropic.

If Ready Trainer One changes AI providers or materially changes what data is shared, the app will ask for consent again before the change takes effect.

AI processing — what we send

Every AI request to Anthropic includes only the following categories, and nothing else:

Sent to: Anthropic (the AI provider), via readytrainerone.com. Never sold, never used for ads, not used to train models, and requests are not stored on our servers.

It does not include raw HealthKit dumps, photos you didn't choose to send, or your name, email, or account identifiers. Claude is the current model family powering coaching features.

3a. How it works

There are two possible paths for an AI request:

3b. What is sent

Only what is needed to answer the request:

3c. What is not sent

We do not intentionally send your name, email, Apple ID, or Ready Trainer One account identifier to Anthropic. Your messages, selected photos, and health context may still contain personal information — for example, you might say your own name in a chat message or include a face in a meal photo — so treat the request itself the way you would treat any message you send to a third-party service.

The following are never sent:

3d. Uses

The data is used only to generate the AI feature you triggered — a Chat answer, a Daily Brief, a Today Hero summary, a parsed meal, or a related coaching summary. Ready Trainer One does not sell this data or use it for advertising, marketing, or cross-app tracking.

3e. Third-party protections

3f. Retention and deletion

Conversations, food logs, and app data are stored locally on your device unless you delete them. Deleting the app removes local data. Relay logs at readytrainerone.com are body-free and PHI-minimized (see §4).

3g. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent for AI coaching at any time from Settings → Privacy & Safety in the app. When consent is withdrawn, Chat, Daily Brief, food parsing, and Today Hero coach requests are blocked until you re-accept; manual food logging and on-device summaries continue to work.

3h. AI-generated content

Answers you see in Chat, the Daily Brief, the Today Hero card, and food parsing are generated by Anthropic's Claude in response to your request. They are AI outputs, not authored by Ready Trainer One. They can be wrong or incomplete on any given request, including on health topics. Always check with a clinician before acting on a health-related answer, and treat food-parse numbers as an estimate rather than a measurement.

4. What we log on the server

The coaching relay runs as a small Cloudflare Worker. To keep it working reliably and to bill the underlying language model provider, the Worker records:

We do not log the contents of your messages, the contents of any health summary, the contents of food photos, or any other request body content. The relay is body-free by design and enforced in code — see the open work in the OneApp repository if you're curious about the technical guarantees.

5. Account, sign-in, and identity

RTO uses Sign in with Apple. We receive an opaque, app-specific identifier from Apple — not your real Apple ID, not your real email unless you choose to share it. We use that identifier only to associate your subscription status and per-account quotas with your device.

We do not build a marketing profile from your identifier, and we do not share it with advertisers.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive a receipt confirming your subscription status, but we never see your credit card number, billing address, or Apple ID password. To cancel, manage your subscription in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

7. This website

The website you are reading right now does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics SDK. We do not embed third-party fonts. We do not use cookies for tracking. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps short-lived edge access logs for the purpose of running the service and defending against abuse; those logs are operational only — never used for advertising, marketing, or cross-app tracking, and not shared with us beyond aggregate operational metrics.

8. Data sharing and selling

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, insurance companies, employers, or any other third party for marketing or risk-assessment purposes.

The only third parties that touch your data are:

9. Children

Ready Trainer One is not designed for or directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Your rights

You can:

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and call out the change in the app. Material reductions in privacy will be announced before they take effect.
